Dhoni Biopic Goes For A Six!
After several delays, buzz is, the ambitious project has suffered another big blow
Sushant Singh Rajput is going through a rough patch. After Alia Bhatt walked out of Raabta earlier this week, the actor now faces another setback.
His Dhoni biopic has hit a major roadblock. Buzz is that one of the film’s three producers Rhiti Sports, Inspired Entertainment and Adarsh Telemedia has backed out of the project questioning its commercial viability.
Rumour has it, Rhiti Sports is the one that has staged a walkout. The company, an NGO on paper, registered in 2014 in Delhi, has a nexus with Mahendra Singh Dhoni and its exit from the project is a big blow.
After several delays, the film was expected to roll this month. But Fox Star, the studio backing this film, decided to rework the budget following the consecutive failure of its projects. That has pushed the film further.
“The makers have told Sushant Singh Rajput that the film will roll in August but that doesnt look likely. They may start in December or November,” says a source close to Sushant.
Dont worry, Sushant this too shall pass.
